 About us

Kerala Land Information Mission is mission mode program formed under the Revenue Department for the modernization of cadastral survey and digitization activities of Survey and Land Records Department of Kerala. Under this Mission Bhoomikeralam project was also constituted for strengthening the Resurvey, Forest Right survey and other special surveys activities.

    Kerala Land Information Mission is a team of professionals from the industry and the Government and is headed by the Principal Secretary, Revenue as the Mission Director. Director of Survey & Land Records is the Addl. Mission Director for the Mission. Project Director and Project Management team with professionals working for executing various projects in the arena of modern survey, GIS and digitization activities.

The major activities of the Mission are governed by the Empowered Committee headed by the Chief Secretary of the State.  Various surveys, digitization programs/projects under the Mission is managed, monitored and executed through the Project Directors office (State Project Office) situated in the Museum Bains Compound,Thiruvananthapuram.

Resurvey works, Forest right survey works, GPS survey works and special survey works etc were assigned to the Mission initially through its Bhoomikeralam Project and subsequently different projects under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) were also assigned to the Mission by its Empowered Committee and the Government. Now Mission is fully engaged for the implementation of DILRMP schemes under the Survey department. 

District level survey projects of the Mission are executed through the District Project Officers and digitization projects are monitored by the Unit Officers of concerned District Digitization Centers (13 nos). Apart from the State Project Office, the other State level divisions of the Mission are Central Digitization Center, Stores & Logistics Unit and GPS Units. Establishment of Central Modern Record Room for preserving the old survey records and District Record Rooms for the scientific up keeping of District level survey records etc are the other main projects under DILRMP.
